Registration

Where can I register?

Please register for Super Conference once registration opens in mid-November.

How do I get access to the member rate?

Registration rates are based on member and non-member status. If you’re not currently a member and would like to join, you can become a member here.

Where can I find a copy of my receipt?

A copy of your receipt was included in your registration confirmation email. You can also log into your OLA account and visit the Orders and Receipts section to view and download your receipt.

I’m registering multiple staff members from my institution. Is there an easier way to do that?

Yes. Please contact the Super Conference team with your list of registrants, including full names and email addresses, and we’ll be happy to assist.

I’m a student registering for the conference, but I’m not being offered the student rate. What should I do?

An active OLA Student Membership is required to access student registration rates. If your student membership is active and you’re still experiencing issues, please contact us for assistance.

I’m a retired member registering for the conference, but I’m not being offered the retired rate. What should I do?

An active OLA Retired Membership is required to access retired member registration rates. If your retired membership is active and you’re still experiencing issues, please contact us for assistance.

I’m speaking at the conference. How do I access the speaker rate?

Please register through the Super Conference registration portal and select the Speaker rate for the day(s) you will be attending. If you require assistance, please contact the Super Conference team.

I’m a poster presenter. What registration category applies to me?

Poster presenters are considered Super Conference speakers and qualify for the Speaker rate.

I’m a virtual-only speaker. What registration category applies to me?

Virtual-only speakers qualify for the Speaker rate. Please choose the registration option that matches how you will be attending the conference rather than the way you will be presenting.

I registered but can no longer attend. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes. Registration transfers are permitted. Please contact the Super Conference team for assistance.

Can I cancel my registration?

Please review the OLA Super Conference Policies, Procedures, and Fees page.

Where can I find my membership number?

OLA no longer uses membership numbers. To access member pricing, simply use the email address associated with your membership when registering.

I’m having trouble completing my online payment. What should I do?

Please contact the Super Conference team for assistance.

I’m not a library worker. Can I still attend?

Absolutely. Super Conference welcomes professionals from libraries and beyond, including educators, students, consultants, vendors, government staff, community partners, and anyone with an interest in the library sector.

How do I update my registration information?

If you need to update your registration details, such as your job title or organization, please contact the Super Conference team.


Program & Sessions

How do session selections work?

During registration, you’ll be asked which sessions you plan to attend. This information helps OLA estimate room capacities but does not reserve a seat in a session.

All sessions are first-come, first-served.

Beginning in January, attendees will receive access to the conference app where they can save sessions to their personal schedule. You are welcome to attend different sessions than those originally selected during registration.

Are pre-conferences and post-conferences included with Full Conference registration?

Most, but not all, pre-conference and post-conference sessions are included with Full Conference registration at no additional charge. Space is limited and advance registration is required.

During registration, you’ll have the opportunity to select available pre-conference sessions and add-on events. Add-ons with additional fees will be indicated in the program in advance so you will run into no surprises during the registration process.

How do I purchase an Awards Gala ticket?

Awards Gala tickets can be added during registration. If you have already registered and would like to purchase an additional ticket, please contact the Super Conference team.


Volunteers & Special Participation

I’m volunteering at the conference. Do I still need to register?

No. Volunteers will be registered by OLA staff.

Can I bring my decision-maker?

Registered OLA members may bring a Decision-Maker Guest for one day at no charge. This includes mayors and reeves, school principals and superintendents, and others who make decisions about public, school, college, and university libraries.

All Decision-Maker Guests are subject to OLA approval. Please contact the Super Conference team for more information.


Attending In Person

Where do I pick up my badge?

Badges for attendees, authors, and speakers can be picked up at the Registration Desk in the lobby of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (with the exception of Saturday, when the registration desk can be found in the lower level of the InterContinental Toronto Centre).

Exhibitor badges can be picked up outside the entrance to Exhibit Hall C.

What are the Registration Desk hours?

Wednesday 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Thursday 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Saturday 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM

Where can I find parking information?

Super Conference takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Please visit the venue website for current parking information.

What should I wear?

Super Conference is a professional event, but there’s no strict dress code. We encourage attendees to wear whatever helps them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to make the most of the experience. January in Toronto can be unpredictable, and temperatures can vary throughout the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, so dressing in layers is always a good idea. Most importantly, wear comfortable footwear—you’ll be covering a lot of ground between sessions, events, and the Expo.

Are meals or refreshments included with registration?

Meals and refreshments are not included with conference registration. However, food and beverages may be available at select conference events and socials, such as the OLA Awards Gala and Social Night. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre and surrounding area also offer a variety of food and beverage options for attendees throughout the conference.

Is the venue accessible?

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel are both fully physically accessible. If you require accommodations or have accessibility-related questions, please contact OLA in advance so we can support your participation. You will be asked to share any accessibility requests during the registration process and you are always welcome to email us if your needs change after your registration form has been submitted.


Attending Virtually

How do I join a virtual session?

Virtual attendees can attend live-streamed sessions listed on the Virtual Conference schedule or watch pre-recorded sessions available in the On-Demand content library. Detailed instructions for accessing both live and on-demand content will be sent to registered attendees in January.

I’m registered, but I haven’t received my virtual access information. Where can I find it?

Access instructions will be sent approximately 2–3 business days before the event. If you haven’t received them within that timeframe, please contact the Super Conference team.

How long is virtual content available?

Virtual content will remain available on the event platform for six months following the conference.

Can I switch from an in-person registration to a virtual registration (or vice versa)?

If you’re registered for the virtual conference and would like to attend in person instead, please contact OLA staff and we’ll be happy to help you upgrade your registration. All in-person registrations already include access to the virtual conference experience. Because of this, registrations cannot be changed from in-person to virtual, and refunds will not be issued for the difference in registration fees.


General Information

Is Wi-Fi available at the venue?

Both venues have public wifi available.

What is the conference app and when will I get access to it?

The OLA Super Conference has an app and all registrants will be invited to download it and log in approximately one week before the conference.

Will sessions be recorded?

Select sessions will be livestreamed and recorded for your viewing enjoyment; the majority of OLA Super Conference sessions are not recorded. The livestream and on-demand sessions will be listed in the program when it is released in November.
