Which Registration Category Applies to Me?

Registration Categories

OLA Member

OLA Members are eligible for Member Pricing. Provincial Affiliate organization members may also qualify for Member Pricing through the Affiliate Organization Member category.

What you need to know:

• • → Membership must be current at the time of registration.
  • → If your membership has expired, you will need to renew it through your OLA account before registering.
  • → If your member number and last name are not recognized during registration, check your account information or contact the OLA Office at 1‑877‑340‑1730 for assistance.

Affiliate Organization Member

Members of Partnership and affiliate library organizations qualify for Member Pricing.

Student, Retired & No‑Income Members

This category applies to OLA Members who are:

• • → Full-time students in a library graduate or diploma program
  • → Full-time students in a teacher pre-service education program
  • → Retired
  • → Currently unemployed or otherwise without income

Eligible attendees qualify for Student / No‑Income pricing.

First Nation Public Library Staff

This category applies to staff working at First Nation Public Libraries in Canada. If you work at a First Nation Public Library, you are eligible for this registration category. Eligibility is based on your workplace rather than personal identity or ancestry. Eligible attendees receive complimentary OLA membership and conference registration.

Regular Registration

This category applies to attendees who are not currently OLA Members and who do not qualify for another registration category. Interested in receiving Member Pricing? In many cases, becoming an OLA Member may be more cost‑effective than registering at the Regular Rate.

Speaker Registration

This category is for confirmed Super Conference speakers, including speakers who are not OLA Members.
What you need to know:

• • → All speakers must register, even if they are only attending on the day they are presenting.
  • → Conference badges are generated from registration records.
  • → Registration numbers are used to plan conference services and hospitality.
  • → If you do not have a conference badge onsite, you may be asked to leave conference spaces.
  • → Speakers are asked to register in the format in which they will attend Super Conference, rather than the format in which they are presenting. Virtual presenters who intend to attend in-person must attend as an in-person attendee at the in-person rate.

Additional Registration Information

The following information applies to specific conference roles, programs, or purchases. These are not registration categories.

Convenors

Convenors register under the category that applies to them (such as OLA Member, Student Member, Affiliate Organization Member, or Standard Registration). Convenor status does not affect registration pricing or registration category.

Volunteers

Conference volunteers, limited to student and low-income members, are registered directly by the OLA Super Conference team. If you have been selected as a volunteer, registration instructions will be provided directly to you.

Decision-Maker Guests

Registered OLA Members are entitled to bring one Decision Maker Guest for one day at no charge, subject to OLA approval.
Decision Maker Guests may include:

• • → Mayors and Reeves
  • → School Principals
  • → School Superintendents
  • → Other individuals who make decisions about public, school, college, or university libraries

Gala Attendees

Gala tickets are sold separately from conference registration.
Purchasing a Gala ticket does not affect your registration category. Additional information about Gala ticket availability and pricing will be shared when tickets become available.

Payment Information

OLA accepts Visa and Mastercard. Cheques are accepted only for Group Registrations and Institutional Site Licenses.

Bringing a Team?

Group Registration (In‑Person Attendance)

Institutions wishing to register ten or more attendees from the same institution and pay through a single institutional payment may use Group Registration. Multiple registration categories can be included, and a single invoice will be generated. To arrange Group Registration, contact superconference@accessola.com.

Institutional Site Licence (Virtual Attendance)

Institutions wishing to register five or more virtual attendees may arrange an Institutional Site Licence. The site licence is offered at a flat institutional rate and is not based on individual registration categories. A single invoice will be generated.
