Career Conversations and Resume Critiques: Pre-Booked Sessions
- Wednesday, January 29th from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Thursday, January 30th from 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Friday, January 31st from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Get Some Advice at the Career Centre!
Are you striving to land that all-important first job? Been in one spot for a while now and looking to make a career shift? Or maybe you’re a student hoping to be selected for a co-op placement? Anyone interested in jump-starting their career can benefit by test-driving their skills in the friendly, risk-free environment of the Career Centre.
This year we are offering two types of Career Centre slots that allow you to meet with an experienced professional within the library field:
- Resume Critique: Receive feedback on a resume and/or cover letter.
- Career Conversation: Discuss career issues and options, or practice mock interview questions.
To sign up for one or more Career Centre slots, please fill out this form by December 31st. You will be matched with a volunteer according to your selections and your timeslot will be confirmed via email in the first few weeks of January. You must be registered for the conference on the date of your session.

Volunteer at the Career Centre!
Are you an experienced professional? We need your help at the Career Centre! This year we are offering two types of volunteer slots:
- Resume Critique: Provide feedback on a resume and/or cover letter.
- Career Conversation: Discuss career issues and options, or practice mock interview questions.
Volunteers will be offered a 25% discount on their conference registration fee. A discount code will be provided when volunteer shift(s) are confirmed. To sign up for a Career Centre volunteer slot, please fill out this form.
PLEASE NOTE: OLA cannot reimburse the discount after you have paid. Please wait until you have received the discount code to register. If you have already registered, please let us know and we can apply the discount code to next year’s conference.
