Mette Krüger is the Acting Manager of Libraries and Heritage Resources at Greater Sudbury Public Library where she oversees collections, public service, programming, and the hard-working people who make it all happen. Working in the downtown branch of the 13-branch library system affords Mette the opportunity to meet a diversity of patron needs with an emphasis on inclusion and equitable access to services.

Participants will learn how one large library system in Northern Ontario has responded to the needs of both patrons and staff in the context of the opioid crisis. The focus will be on what supports are provided to staff in responding to the challenges of witnessing the library being used in less-than-traditional ways.
